Front Street

Front Street is an east-west road in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Famous sites that are located on Front Street include the CN Tower, Fairmont Royal York, Union Station, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, The Flatiron Building, and my favorite St. Lawrence Market.

Red Rockets

The system began operation in 1861 (electric lines since 1891). From 1921 the Toronto Transportation Commission began as solely a streetcar operator.

Guildwood

One of the architectural constructs found in Guildwood Park.

Casa Loma

Sir Henry commissioned Canadian architect E.J. Lennox to design Casa Loma with construction beginning in 1911. The house cost approximately $3.5 million and took a team of 300 workers three years to build from start to finish. Upon completion in 1914, at 98 rooms, it was the largest private residence in North America.

The impressive 18th century Baroque Palace (Palatul Vechii Prefecturi) in Timisoara. Formerly the governor’s residence, it now houses the Museum of Fine Arts with works by German, Flemish and Italian artists.
